GoPro How to make a GoPro Hat Mount Without Destroying your Hat

So you want to record your view with your GoPro Camera? Well GoPro has come up with mounts for use with Motorcycle helmets and Military NVG helmets. So for us simple folk we need a simple way to get that Point of View (POV) Shot. I looked up if anyone else used a hat to mount their GoPro to but the only How to’s had drastic methods which would then render the hat useless for daily wear. I am not a Hat guy, I don’t have a huge closet to organize hats within. I like a hat, I wear it till it falls to pieces.

So using:

  • A Hat
  • Drill
  • 5/16 Drill Bit
  • 1/4″ x20     1/2″ long screw (may need washers at this length)
  • GoPro’s Tripod Mount

You can have a DIY solution to achieve a GoPro POV.
